McCann went 1-for-4 with a strikeout in Monday's opener against the Blue Jays. McCann's hit represented one of just three the club mustered all day as the entire offense struggled. The catcher figures to slot in the middle of the lineup and should see the bulk of the starts behind the plate this year. The 31-year-old had possibly his worst season as a pro in 2014 as he slashed just .232/.286/.406, so it's possible he improves as he gets more comfortable now in his second season in the Bronx.
