McCann went 0-for-2 but drove in his first run of the spring in Sunday's Grapefruit League win over the Phillies.
McCann figures once again to see the everyday duties behind home plate while slotting into the middle of the Yankees' lineup. After a disappointing 2014 campaign in which he maintained a career-worst .232 batting average, he's gotten off to a slow spring start with a slash line of .158/.190/.211 through eight Grapefruit League appearances. McCann also appeared in 30 games between first base and as the team's DH last season to keep him in the lineup even when he needed a day off from catching, but with the offseason acquisition of Garrett Jones and the team working out Alex Rodriguez at first, it's possible the 31-year-old will see increased time behind the plate this year.
