McCann was set to undergo a concussion test prior to the game, after which the Yankees will decide if he'll require a stint on the DL. Even if he receives clearance to resume catching, McCann will likely be held out through the rest of the weekend just to afford him ample recovery time. Francisco Cervelli will serve as the battery mate for starter Brandon McCarthy on Saturday.
