Los Angeles Angels catcher Max Stassi (hip) is in line to be the team's primary catcher in 2021 but will be brought along slowly in spring training after having left hip surgery. The Angels signed veteran Kurt Suzuki to back up Stassi as the team takes it slow with his recovery. In 31 games last season, Stassi produced a solid .278 average with 20 runs batted in.
