Mauer (oblique) did not play Thursday, but will play Friday for Low-A Cedar Rapids, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. He got a scheduled day off Thursday to ease him back into action. He went 1-for-6 in his first two games on his rehab assignment. If all goes well he could be activated from the DL on Monday.
