Matzek won his third game of the season Monday, giving up two runs on eight hits while striking out seven over seven innings versus the Giants. Matzek made short work of a struggling Giants offense, needing only 90 pitches to get through seven innings. The rookie improves to 3-9 with a 5.14 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 60:32 K:BB ratio. Matzek will pitch in Arizona on Saturday.
