Matzek didn't have his best control Tuesday, allowing two earned runs on four hits and six walks, in five innings pitched with three strike outs. He allowed a solo homer to Clint Barmes. Matzek has always has tantalizing strike out ability mixed with terrifying control. He has managed to be more precise in the majors than the minors, but there won't be many six walk outings before his is banished to the bullpen.
