Matz (shoulder) likely won't appear in any games this week, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mere days after the Mets thought that Matz could return to the rotation, the left-hander now seems to be unable to appear for the rest of the regular season. Manager Terry Collins also stated that Matz will likely not start any games in the postseason, and that even an appearance out of the bullpen during the playoffs is still up in the air. If your league only runs during the regular season, it's probably safe to say that the 25-year-old won't be contributing any points until next season.
