Matz is expected to be called up to start Sunday against the Reds, Newsday's Marc Carig reports. Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports had the initial report, and while the Mets still have yet to confirm, sources tell Newsday that Matz will indeed come up for his major league debut Sunday. Simply put, Matz has nothing left to prove at Triple-A, having posted a 2.19 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 94:31 K:BB in 90.1 innings with Las Vegas to begin the year. It sounds like he will get an extended run with the big club, as the Mets are reportedly moving back to a six-man rotation.
