Matusz has been dealing with a lower back strain and bruised ribs since early on in spring training and was forced to start the season on the disabled list. However, he is moving in the right direction and will pitch on back-to-back days starting Thursday. According to The Baltimore Sun, if Matusz can get through those two outings without a hitch, he will come off the disabled list Sunday.
