Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd had a strong outing against the Kansas City Royals on Saturday, but unfortunately he wasn't given any run support and earned his second loss on the year. Boyd pitched eight innings and allowed three hits, no walks and two runs (one earned), while striking out three.
