Los Angeles Angels pitcher Matt Shoemaker (forearm) threw a 45-pitch three inning simulation against minor leaguers on Friday. He could head out on a rehab assignment early next week. Shoemaker has only made one start this season, but could find himself on the mound for the Angels sometime in September. He's not worth a look outside of very deep leagues, however.
