Minnesota Twins veteran hurler Matt Shoemaker had a promising first outing of the spring with his new team. A free agent well into the offseason, he did not allow a hit or a walk over 2.1 innings of work. Shoemaker isn't flashy but the 34-year-old hurler could provide some stability to the bottom half of the club's starting rotation.
