Matt Shoemaker delivered a quality performance Thursday against the Astros, allowing two runs on seven hits over six innings of a victory. Shoemaker punched out seven and walked three. He began the year 5-0 with a 3.00 ERA in seven starts but got blasted for eight runs and 11 hits in four innings Friday against Kansas City. Overall though, the 27-year-old right-hander has been a good addition to the rotation, going 6-2 with 4.35 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 60/15 K/BB ratio over 60 innings. Shoemaker welcomes the Blue Jays to Los Angeles next week.
