Matt Shoemaker allowed one run over six innings and struck out six in a victory over the Rays on Sunday. Shoemaker has pitched well in both starts since replacing Hector Santiago in the rotation, giving up three runs over 11 innings. He lacks top-notch stuff and his minor league results have been rather unimpressive even after accounting for the fact that he's spent so much time in hitter's parks. In other words, fantasy leaguers should tread carefully. He's not a mixed-league option.
