Oakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson (hand) had his stitches and cast removed from his surgically repaired right hand on Monday, but he's still expected to require a gradual recovery, according to manager Bob Melvin. Olson is projected to resume baseball-related activities in five to seven weeks.
