Oakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson (thumb) is being listed as day-to-day after he was removed in the eighth inning after getting hit by a pitch on his left hand on Monday night. Manager Bob Melvin said that X-rays on Olson's hand showed no broken bones after the game. Olson suffered a thumb contusion. "It swelled up a little bit," Melvin said. "Nothing was broken.
