Matt Moore yielded four runs in 7 1/3 innings versus the Royals on Wednesday. Mike Moustakas and Alcides Escobar homered off Moore, which is pretty discouraging. Moustakas is a perfectly legitimate power hitter, but not against lefties. In fact, he didn't have a single homer in 154 career at-bats against lefties entering this one. Escobar had just one homer this season. Moore's certainly pitching better now than he did during the first six weeks of the season, but the moments of dominance have been few and far between.
