Matt Moore was pummeled in a loss to the Indians on Saturday, allowing five runs on five hits over 4 2/3 innings of work. Moore also walked five while striking out three in the game. All five hits that he allowed were doubles. The Indians pushed three runs across in the second inning, then added another pair in the third inning. Moore settled down nicely over his final two frames, but the damage had already been done. The 23-year-old phenom will attempt to regroup over the All-Star break, and improve on his 5-6 record and 4.42 ERA in the second half of the season.
