Matt Moore is planning to test his injured left elbow with throwing sessions Monday and Tuesday. Moore has been diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow -- an injury that almost always leads to Tommy John reconstructive surgery. He wants to try pitching through it first, but that usually doesn't work. Tommy John surgery would already sideline him through the early part of the 2015 season, and the longer he waits the further that timetable gets pushed back.
