Matt Moore hurled a shutout against the Red Sox on Monday, allowing just two hits in his first career complete game. A big strike zone helped, but Moore was terrific, even if he struck out just four batters. His 109 pitches was the low total in a nine-inning shutout against the Red Sox since Roy Halladay did it in 100 pitches back in 2009. Moore has won six straight starts and is now 14-3 with a 3.17 ERA, putting him in the Cy Young conversation. He hasn't allowed a homer since Adam Jones took him deep on June 9.
