Matt Moore (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery next week. Moore tested out his elbow Monday with some throwing but evidently was still experiencing soreness. The left-hander was diagnosed last week with a torn ulnar collateral ligament, so it makes sense to go ahead and have the operation now rather than try rest and rehab, which almost never works. Moore figures to miss the beginning of the 2015 campaign.
