Matt Moore (abdominal discomfort) played catch Wednesday at Rays' camp. Moore won't throw live batting practice Wednesday, but the fact that he was playing catch is a good sign that his abdominal issue is nearly behind him. The 22-year-old left-hander should still have plenty of time to get ready for the new season. He appears primed to make a major impact as a rookie.
