Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning (bicep) threw a bullpen session on Saturday. This was the first time he'd thrown off a mound during his current throwing regimen. He was previously throwing off flat ground from 150 feet. He is currently in Lakeland, the town of the Tigers' Single-A affiliate, and the plan is for him to continue working out there until he receives a rehab assignment.
