Oakland Athletics outfielder Matt Joyce (back) will start a rehab assignment on Tuesday. The veteran left-handed hitter has played in just 63 games this year due to back woes and has hit a dreadful .203 with seven home runs and 13 RBI. He could become an option off the bench and against right-handed pitchers to close out the year, but Joyce doesn't have much fantasy appeal at all.
