Matt Holliday went 2-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored Friday against the Marlins. Both of his hits were doubles, including one which drove in Matt Carpenter in the bottom of the third inning. Holliday has been bothered recently by a pinched nerve in his neck, which could provide some greater context for his uncharacteristic .268/.349/.434 batting line. While that would be perfectly acceptable for most players, the 33-year-old outfielder is a .310/.384/.530 career hitter.
