Matt Holliday smashed a two-run homer in the first inning on Saturday, powering the Cardinals to a 6-2 victory over the Cubs. Holliday finished the afternoon 1-for-1 and also walked. The Cardinals jumped on opposing starter Edwin Jackson for six runs in the first three frames, then cruised to an easy victory. The veteran outfielder is enjoying yet another terrific season offensively, hitting .300/.389/.490 with 22 homers, 103 runs, 94 RBI and six stolen bases.
