Matt Holliday (finger) has been cleared to swing a bat off a tee. Holliday hasn't played since last Tuesday due to inflammation in his right middle finger. While Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch was told by a team source Monday that he was "doubtful" to return to return this season, the Cardinals are currently hopeful that he will be available to play this weekend against the Cubs.
