Oakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman (hand) received a cortisone injection in his injured right hand Tuesday, per A's beat writer Juan McWilliams. Chapman is currently rehabbing after being placed on the 10-day disabled list last Thursday with a hand injury that he has been battling with since spring training. If the injection is well-received, Chapman could swing a bat on Thursday.
