Matt Carpenter went 3-for-5 in the Cardinals' Game 6 loss to the Red Sox on Wednesday. Carpenter struggled for much of the postseason but salvaged his World Series somewhat with the three-hit night. It was his third multi-hit game in the series, and he finished with a .296/.286/.333 line in the six games. Unfortunately for the Cardinals he was one of the only hitters who could get anything going for them in the series, as they fell in six games to the Red Sox.
