Matt Carpenter went 2-for-4 but the Cardinals fell to A.J. Burnett and the Pirates on Saturday. The high-powered Cardinals offense only managed five hits on the night, with Carpenter being the one standout performer. He's done a nice job filling in for the injured Lance Berkman and raised his average to .314 (11-for-35) with the two-hit effort.
