It's a routine off-day for the 33-year-old who's having a disappointing season batting .206 with five homers. Carpenter has turned it around lately with hits in four of his last five games including a home run on Thursday. Look for Carpenter to keep his momentum going when the Royals come to town for a two-game set starting Tuesday.
