Matt Carpenter launched a walkoff sacrifice fly to right field in the 10th inning of Tuesday's 2-1 defeat of the Reds. Carpenter was on the bench most of the night with Lance Berkman (calf) back in action, but the 26-year-old utilityman still managed to play the role of hero. He's batting .409/.400/.818 with 11 RBI in 24 plate appearances this year, and has likely bought himself significantly more time on the 25-man roster.
