St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Oakland Athletics. Carpenter has just four hits in his last 29 at-bats, so he'll take the night off. Tommy Edman will bat leadoff and play third base versus righty Daniel Mengden. Edman could be a cheap DFS option while in that spot and against a struggling starting pitcher.
