Matt Cain won without his best stuff Sunday, giving up five runs - three earned - on five hits and four walks over five innings in a 12-5 romp over the Rockies. His defense didn't help him out, but Cain simply wasn't sharp in this one in the thin Denver air. He did, though, manage to belt a two-run homer himself. It's the right-hander's shortest outing since April and just his fifth non-quality start in his last 18 tries. Still the owner of a 2.86 ERA and 1.08 WHIP, he'll face the D'Backs next weekend.
