Matt Cain was obliterated in a losing effort against the Athletics on Saturday, surrendering seven runs on six hits in his 2 2/3 innings. Cain walked three and struck out three in the disappointing performance. Long balls by Luke Montz and Stephen Vogt accounted for most of the damage against him.He had been unscored upon through his first eight innings of Cactus League play heading into Saturday's disaster. He'll try to put this one behind him and get back on track next time out.
