Matt Cain threw eight innings of one-run ball Saturday in a no-decision against the Rockies. Cain got very little support from the Giants offense in an eventual 2-1 loss. The right-hander was fantastic, scattering three hits (one double, two singles) while striking out five. He will carry an improving 4.29 ERA and 1.07 WHIP into his next start against the Reds.
