Matt Cain pitched seven innings of two-run ball Friday against the Mets in his return from the disabled list. Jon Niese matched him almost exactly -- both allowed two runs, struck out three and walked one in seven innings -- so Cain got a no-decision for his effort. Still, it was an encouraging performance after a 2 1/2-week absence due to a hamstring streak.
