Matt Cain (hamstring) cut a bullpen session short at about 15 pitches on Saturday afternoon. This is a pretty good indication that Cain will not be ready for his next turn in the Giants' rotation. He suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain in the third inning of his start Wednesday night against the Rockies.
