Matt Cain couldn't keep the Giants' shutout streak going Friday. He gave up five runs and 11 hits in 6 2/3 innings against the Reds. Cain took a loss, his first since May 1. The five runs allowed matched his season high from back in his first start of the year on April 8. Going into the night, the Giants had pitched four shutouts in a row; all three games against the Dodgers and then one more last night versus Cincinnati.
