Mat Latos is dealing with elbow inflammation. That's the reason he was scratched from a scheduled rehab start on Tuesday at Triple-A Louisville. Latos is working back from early-spring knee surgery and will obviously be out now for another couple weeks. He allowed five runs -- three earned -- over four innings in his first rehab start last Thursday at Double-A Pensacola.
