Mat Latos allowed four runs over six innings but the Reds beat the Mariners on Saturday evening. Latos had real problems early, allowing two runs in the top of the first inning and one in the third before eventually settling in. He wound up striking out 11 batters and now boasts an 8-2 record, 3.18 ERA and 120/34 K/BB ratio in 116 innings this season. The right-hander will take on the Braves in Atlanta next time out.
