Marlon Byrd went 2-for-5 with a home run in the Mets' 9-4 win over the Yankees on Wednesday. After being DFA'd by the Red Sox just a season ago, Byrd has found some life with the Mets, hitting .244 with five homers and 22 RBI this season. That Byrd is one of the team's better run producers says more about the state of the Mets than about Byrd's resurgence, though, and despite the occasional good game, he is still a non-factor for fantasy purposes.
