Marlon Byrd went 2-for-4 with a two-run single Sunday in the Cubs' 6-3 win over the Cardinals. Now we know why the Cubs kept him. With tonight's victory, they're a mere 14 1/2 games back of the Brewers in the NL Central. Byrd, who has hit third, fifth and sixth for the Cubs, has just 18 RBI in 265 at-bats for the season.
