Marlon Byrd went 2-for-2 and doubled off Stephen Strasburg in Friday's game against the Nationals. Despite a disastrous 2012 season, Byrd is being looked at as a possible starting right fielder by the Mets. Mike Baxter may be the primary competition, particularly now that Jordany Valdespin seems set to see more time in the infield than the outfield.
