Marlins signed INF/OF Jeff Baker to a two-year, $3.7 million contract. Baker could also earn an additional $500,000 in bonuses in each season. The 32-year-old hit .279/.360/.545 with 11 home runs in 74 games last season with the Rangers. He could be moved around all over the field by the Marlins and, at the very least, makes for a nice platoon option at first base with Garrett Jones.
