Marlins purchased the contract of 1B Casey Kotchman from Triple-A New Orleans. He'll be the starting first baseman for the first couple months while Logan Morrison is out. Kotchman batted just .229/.280/.333 last season with the Indians, but he's worthy of rostering in NL-only formats.
