Marlins president Larry Beinfest indicated Tuesday that he is optimistic Juan Carlos Oviedo's legal issues will be resolved in time for him to pitch in the majors next season. Oviedo, formerly known as Leo Nunez, is currently working through legal issues in his native Dominican Republic after he admitted in September to faking his identity. "We're all hopeful he's going to be back here as Juan Carlos Oviedo and back in the country and issued a visa, then we can work on the business side of it," said Beinfest. The Marlins' closer is arbitration-eligible for the final time this winter and is at risk of being non-tendered regardless of his legal difficulties.
