Marlins assistant general manager Dan Jennings said the Marlins are going forward with plans as if Juan Carlos Oviedo is not coming back. Oviedo saved 92 games for the Marlins over the past three seasons and would be under team control entering his final year of arbitration. The 29-year-old, formerly known as Leo Nunez, is currently working through legal issues after admitting in September to faking his identity, and is at risk of being non-tendered. The Marlins have until December 12 to decide whether to offer him a contract.
