Mark Teixeira (wrist) took swings underwater on Tuesday. It's a way to ease him back into baseball activities following a partially torn tendon sheath in his right wrist. Things went well, as he's slated to progress to dry swings on Wednesday. According to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch, Teixeira hopes to take batting practice in Toronto and work out in Tampa next week. His goal of returning by May 1 may be overly optimistic, but he's beginning to make significant progress.
